day 2 Malaga

sunny 30 °C

Today is going to be a collection of thoughts rather than trying to be coherent - you might take that as a sign of my state of mind ;)

I was wrong about the Malagan streets they are not cobbled but marbled. You then get this slightly odd sight of shopkeeps mopping 'their' street each morning.

They are also a bit slippy for those not in sensible shoes (me me me! In a case of practical vs lightweight and guess which won?). I had the unique experience of slipping back down the uphill path the top castle today. I did not look cool. Having said that I didn't slip on the way back down. It was v v v steep, even the hairpins did not help.

Additional note: Malaga castles are awesome! Tho not worked out why they built another when they had a perfectly good one already..

One of the first things I saw yesterday when arriving at the airport..aside from the obligatory IKEA.. Was a massive San Miguel factor. I took this as a good sign.

During the flight we came by the Pico's de Europa covered in snow...'I'm coming for you, give me a month and I will be there'....and Pico de Valetta also snowed..'I'll be back for you in 6 months'. Cycling climber mentality kicked in already it seemed.

Speaking of snow..there is absolutely none here..temperatures went up to 30 before lunch..what made that even better was hearing it was raining at home mwahahahaha ;)

Downside is I have to cycle in that tomorrow.

Plusside I have caught the sun already

Today I have spoken French and Greek to various Spaniards. On the plus side what Spanish am actually speaking is going well.

Tomorrow: first day on the bike
Tomorrows prediction: I will get lost
